You're Not His Mother

By 9:40:00 AM ,

It's not too much to expect your man to have his self together.

I remember a friend who treated her man like her son rather than her partner. She was the one providing him a place to live, a car to drive, and food to eat. She filled out the applications for jobs; she registered him for school.

And at a certain point any woman would get tired of playing mommy and she broke up with him. Through mutual friends I found out he criticized her for not being a "ride or die"; for not standing by his side when times were tough.

My friend felt like she had to justify why she ended the relationship and I quickly told her that she had nothing to apologize for!

It's not too much to desire a man who has himself together. In fact, you should demand it. When you're about your business, an unmotivated man will do nothing but bring you down.

You deserve someone on your level. You deserve someone who motivates you.
You deserve someone who understand what it means to rise to the occasion.
You deserve someone who shares in your ambition.

And any man that lets you play mommy, is not that person. I'm all for standing by your man when times are rough but at a certain point, he has to stand up for himself. You're not his crutch.
Any successful relationship is a two way street and a man who is worthy of you will not only understand that but go out of his way to make sure that you expect it.

So don't you ever feel bad for refusing to settle. You know what you deserve!

I love you guys for being patient, I promise to give you guys more chances to Trust Me because you know I Can't Lie.
